Organophilic clay RS-110
Organophilic clay RS-110
Description

Organic clay RS-110 is sodium montmorillonite modified with quaternary ammonium salts, used as a structure-forming and regulating agent of rheological properties for hydrocarbon drilling muds, as well as for the creation of hydrocarbon gels for various technological purposes (fracturing fluids, paint and varnish industry, etc.).

Scope of use and application
RS-110 is intended for use as an effective structure-foaming agent for oil-based muds to increase gel strength and rheology. The product works effectively in all hydrocarbon systems, including diesel-based ones. The muds structured with oleophilic clay have a high solids-carrying capacity for weighting material and remain stable at temperatures over 50 °С.
Optimum concenration of RS-110 is variable within 5 to 30 mg/m 3, depending on geological and technical conditions of the required structural and rheological properties of drilling fluids and process fluids.
The clay ensure high structural and mechanical properties for packer fluids and column sealing fluids during RIW.
Toxicity and handling requirements
In terms of the degree of impact on the human body, according to GOST 12.1.007 organiphilic clay belongs to the 4th class of hazard and toxicity.
Organophilic clay is fire - and explosion-proof.
Packaging and storage
Organophilic clay RS-110 is supplied in multilayer paper bags with a capacity of 22.7 kg. Store in dry place, away from the sources of fire and sparks. Avoid generation of dust.
