Wetting agent for oil-based muds RS-502
Wetting agent for oil-based muds RS-502
Description

Wetting agent RS-502 is a surface active substance of organic origin, a powerful concentrated chemical for hydrofobization of the solid phase in oil-based muds. Effective in systems with low lime content. RS-502 is a chemical to modify solid phase wettability that provides effective hydrophobization for barite and drilled solids and reduces negaive impact of stratal water.

Scope of use and application
As a chemical for changing the wettability of the solid phase, RS-502 hydrophobizes the particles of the weighting agent and drilled particles, thereby preventing their sticking and precipitation, increases stability of temperature and rheology, the level of water loss and the stability of the emulsion, and also increases the resistance of the solution to contaminants
Concentration of the chemical for a fresh fluid varies from 2.85 to 11.4 kg/m3; approximately 0.18 kg/m3 is used for daily treatment of the mud (if needed).
Toxicity and handling requirements
RS-502 belongs to the 4th class of hazard and toxicity according to GOST 12.1.007, contact with this chemical may result in a local irritation of skin and eyes. Self-ifgnition temperature point of RS-502 is at least 300°С.
Packaging and storage
RS-502 is supplied in steel or polyethelene with a capacity of 200 liters. Four drums are placed on pallets and additionally secured with fastening tape.
Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight.
